- The bag is disabled during battle.
- Gym leaders and the Pokemon League don't use items during battle, making things fair. Steven didn't follow those rules, but no problem.
- TMs are reusable (thank goodness!)
- Battle Frontier Poke Mart sells Rare Candies and Lucky Eggs.
- HMs can be removed without the Move Deleter (thank goodness!)
- Gym Leaders and the Elite 4 have full teams
- The Physical/Special split isn't present. No Gen 4+ abilities and moves either.
