This will be my 11th walkthrough, here are the other games I've done guides for so far: Pokemon Adventure Red Chapter Beta 14.5, 15 Pokemon Flora Sky [Complement Dex Version] Pokemon Light Platinum (covering the Lauren Region) Pokemon Mega Power (Beta 5.59) Pokemon Resolute v2.71 Pokemon Glazed Beta 8.6.3 Pokemon Grape Final v1.4, v1.5 (Apr 2020) Pokemon Liquid Crystal Beta 3.3.00512 I played the official version some years ago and until the unofficial version popped up it was a game I'd left it behind because it had remained incomplete. Many thanks to Hacksrepairman for covering the rest of it, I'm looking forward to seeing how it turns out and I hope you are as well. Let's begin! We kick things off with wise words from Professor Alder. After naming our character we get to name our friendly neighbour/Rival. I'll be naming him Cody just so that we can identify him (and in case he isn't the only Rival we'll have to deal with) but you can name him anything you like. Then we appear in our room. Nice and tidy. Check the PC, there's a Potion waiting in storage. Downstairs there's our brother, he reminds us to visit Prof. Alder's lab. Today's the today we get our Pokemon. Just as we're walking out, in comes Cody. Super eager to get his Pokemon as well, he says he'll meet us at the lab. No problem. 001 GREENWOOD TOWN - "Where the Seeds of New Beginnings are Planted." ================== Places of Interest .................. - Your House - Cody's House - Greenwood Pokemon Lab **NOTE: The Pokemon which I'll list as Found are just those I'm lucky enough to encounter. Surf [Levels: 9-20] Tentacool, Krabby Old Rod [Levels: 9-10] Magikarp Good Rod [Levels: 5-14] Horsea, Magikarp, Krabby Super Rod [Levels: 16-23] Horsea, Gyarados, Shellder We find Cody in the Lab, but where's Prof. Alder? Leave and head for the town exit, that's when Alder appears to stop us from proceeding without a Pokemon. Follow him back to the lab to choose your Starter from these classic 3: TREECKO - Wood Gecko Pokemon Type: Grass Ability: Overgrow Moves Known: Pound, Leer MUDKIP - Mud Fish Pokemon Type: Water/Ground Ability: Torrent Moves Known: Tackle, Growl TORCHIC - Chick Pokemon Type: Fire Ability: Blaze Moves Known: Scratch, Growl And in classic fashion Cody will choose the type stronger than yours. Afterwards leave the lab and town, because there's nothing else from Alder and oddly enough Cody doesn't stop us for that first time battle. Might as well start that training with the local wild Pokemon, eh? 0A ROUTE 801 ------------ Pokemon Found [Levels: 2-3] ............. Zigzagoon Sentret Pidgey Ralts Caterpie Seedot According to the sign, further east is Gordian Town. Just before we step into the grass though, here comes Cody for that first time battle. Training delayed :p >>RIVAL BATTLE<< ================ Rival Cody (Lv5 Starter) Prize: P80 Cody says that Prof. Alder wants us to pick up something for him at Gordian's PokeMart (classic). Continue east, Gordian isn't very far. 002 GORDIAN TOWN - "The Fragrant Paradise!" ================ Places of Interest .................. - PokeCenter - PokeMart - Gym When we arrive that man in green will take us on a mini tour to show us the major spots, including the closed Gym. After the tour he gives us a Town Map and an interesting note - if we find certain places in forests or caves, Press A to get info about them. The notice on the Gym door says the place is closed for renovations. Signed by Gym Leader Quinn. Let's look around before picking up that mysterious something from the Mart. Blocking the north exit is a boy and his stubborn Slowpoke. South of town is a little bit of Route 822, stretching further south across water to a place called Polaris City. There's an Underground Path here which leads to Amethyst City but the path is being worked on at the moment. Back in town, check that house next to the Gym. It has a doorway blocked by boxes, and a breeze is blowing through. Noted. Time for the Mart. One of the clerks gives us the Parcel while the other one has a few items on sale: GORDIAN TOWN MART ----------------- Potion P300 Antidote P100 Parlyz Heal P200 Race back to the lab and deliver the Parcel, which contains memory cards for the PokeDexes. Who would've thunk it? Cody shows up in time for us to receive the PokeDexes. You know the deal, challenge the Pokemon League but on the way there we should attempt to complete the little digital encyclopedia. 386 slots to fill in. Alder also gives us 5 PokeBalls. Return home to get Running Shoes from our brother. Back to Gordian Town. The Parcel clerk at the Mart sells Orange Mail (P50) and Fluffy Tails (P1000 each). PokeBalls are now available (P200). When you're ready head north for Route 802. 0B ROUTE 802 ------------ Pokemon Found [Levels: 2-4] ............. Zigzagoon Caterpie Rattata Nidoran[M] Poochyena Pidgey Ralts The sign says that further east is Morphic Tunnel. Follow the path as it goes right then left then right again, along the way we meet fellow rookie Trainer Colin. Youngster Colin (Lv2 Zigzagoon, Lv2 Pidgey) Prize: P88 In the grass on the left from him is a Potion. Northeast from there is Jessy. Lass Jessy (Lv4 Sentret) Prize: P64 Just past her is the tunnel entrance and standing by it is Cody. He says that a group of weirdos have been causing trouble in the cave, so we'll team up with him to deal with them. Sounds good. 0C MORPHIC TUNNEL ----------------- Pokemon Found [Levels: 2-5] ............. Zubat Machop Geodude Meditite Teddiursa Makuhita Whismur (Area 2) Cubone (Area 2) Aron (Area 2) Clefa (Area 3) Rattata (Area 3) Nincada (Area 3) Clefairy (Area 3) -MAIN AREA- Search that lone stone right up above us, there's a Tinymushroom. As we move to the left there's a tremour coming from somewhere below. What are those people up to? Continue, check the stone on the left before descending the steps (Red Shard). On the right from the steps are a Hiker and his Machop, they're clearing away boulders that have fallen down because of the tremours and so that road to Azure City is currently blocked. We'll have to take the long way instead. Go to the left and descend the ladder. -AREA 2- South from the ladder is Jeanne. Lass Jeanne (Lv4 Cleffa) Prize: P80 To the right from her is a Potion. Further south there's Tyler. Camper Tyler (Lv2 Teddiursa, Lv4 Psyduck) Prize: P112 He saw the group, apparently they wear blue. Fans of Team Aqua maybe? On the right from him is another ladder, climb down. -AREA 3- Aha, so we can now see up above from us one of the members of this shady group. Go straight east to pick up Stardust then head up the steps. There's another tremour. Beyond the steps is another group member. Meet Team Tundra! Team Tundra Grunt (Lv3 Rattata, Lv4 Snorunt) Prize: P160 Another tremour before meeting the next Grunt. Team Tundra Grunt (Lv3 Poochyena, Lv4 Swinub) Prize: P160 South from her there's another Grunt blocking access to a ladder, he won't move. Check the stone he's facing for a Revive. North from there is another ladder currently blocked. Head northeast. Team Tundra Grunt (Lv4 Hoothoot, Lv4 Swinub) Prize: P160 Team Tundra Grunt (Lv2 Poochyena, Lv4 Hoothoot, Lv4 Swinub) Prize: P160 Follow the north path all the way to a Potion. At the bottom of the south steps is Cody, he has found the Grunt responsible for the tremours and he couldn't defeat him. Cody heals your team and he can do it again if you talk to him. Then go confront the man, his name is Tison and he's an Admin. Whatever operation Team Tundra is conducting here is none of our business but he's searching for something. Our very first Boss battle! >>BOSS BATTLE<< =============== Tundra Admin Tison (Lv5 Poochyena, Lv8 Spheal, Lv6 Snorunt) Prize: P640 Now that his Pokemon are weakened, Tison decides to stop the activities here and leaves with his crew. Cody overheard them mention ice under something but thinks nothing more of it. We'll make a note of it anyway. Climb that ladder and follow the path all the way to a Sun Stone. Now that Team Tundra is gone go back to the other ladders which were blocked and go to the south one. It leads to TM39 (Rock Tomb) [in the "in-between" area before where the TM is located, check the lone stone in the middle for a Blue Shard. TMs are single use in this game sadly]. Go to the northwest ladder, there's a Pearl below from it. We'll be back in Area 2 but now on the upper side. Cross the bridge to meet Jake. Youngster Jake (Lv4 Zigzagoon, Lv7 Nidoran[M], Lv5 Pidgey) Prize: P220 Move along that north path from him to find a Great Ball. Then continue all the way east to pick up a Moon Stone. Head north to spot Maya. Picnicker Maya (Lv6 Lotad, Lv7 Taillow) Prize: P140 Past her is a ladder which returns us to the Main Area's eastern side where we'll see that Hiker and his Machop still busy at work. Head south for the exit. 0D ROUTE 803 ------------ Pokemon Found [Levels: 7-10] ............. Zigzagoon Geodude Electrike Ekans Wingull Marill Mareep Lotad Whismur Surf [Levels: 5-20] Tentacool Old Rod [Level: 5] Magikarp Good Rod [Levels: 10-15] Magikarp, Krabby, Horsea Super Rod [Levels: 15-34] Horsea, Gyarados Move east along that upper side to reach TM05 (Roar) and then come back around to fight Daisy. Aroma Lady Daisy (Lv6 Hoppip, Lv5 Sunkern, Lv8 Oddish) Prize: P256 A little further on is Madeline. Anyone remember the cartoon of the same name from MANY years ago? Lady Madeline (Lv6 Mareep, Lv6 Meowth, Lv7 Zigzagoon) Prize: P700 Cross the bridge to find Donny and then Marie. Youngster Donny (Lv6 Rattata, Lv6 Ekans, Lv8 Aron) Prize: P128 Lass Marie (Lv10 Clefairy) Prize: P160 Search that stone below from her for a Great Ball. Check the square patch in the grass on the right above the flowers for a Razz Berry. Then carry on east for our next destination. 003 AZURE CITY - "The Ocean's Azure Vista." ============== Places of Interest .................. - PokeCenter - PokeMart - Pokemon Trainer Fan Club - Oceanic Museum - Trainers' School AZURE CITY MART --------------- PokeBall P200 Potion P300 Antidote P100 Parlyz Heal P200 Wave Mail P50 Berry Juice P100 Looks like a busy place, let's look around. Hometown of one of the Elite 4 we're told. At the Trainers' School, the very first student wants to see Quinn's Badge. They'll give us a prize if we can bring it. The two little ones in the corner are battle ready. School Kid Jillian (Lv10 Ralts) Prize: P240 School Kid Trey (Lv10 Eevee) Prize: P240 In the house to the south from the PokeMart there's a man looking to trade his Staryu for a Skitty. Enjoy the free tour of the Oceanic Museum, courtesy of Devon Corp. :) yes, they're not just in Hoenn haha. The legendary exhibit is only one we can't view though, go upstairs. We'll find Gym Leader Quinn getting some advice from a famous face also from Hoenn - Wallace! He's here to help promote a special exhibit which will open soon. Quinn learns that we're looking to challenge her and she returns to her Gym. Make your way back to Gordian Town, the shortcut in Morphic Town has been reopened now. That Hiker will give us HM06 (Rock Smash). We'll need a Badge in order to use it though, darn. GORDIAN TOWN GYM ---------------- Leader: Quinn - "The Far Out Forest Girl!" Her type of choice is Bug. There are only 2 Gym Trainers here, Devin and Rodney. Picnicker Devin (Lv8 Ledyba, Lv10 Surskit) Prize: P200 Move on up to see Rodney. Bug Catcher Rodney (Lv12 Caterpie, Lv10 Metapod) Prize: P160 Quinn hasn't been Gym Leader for very long but that shouldn't stop her from putting up a fight. Battle for Badge #1, go! >>GYM BATTLE<< ============== Leader Quinn (Lv12 Spinarak, Lv14 Yanma, Lv12 Pineco) Prizes: P1400 + Nymph Badge + TM09 (Silver Wind) Use of Flash outside of battle granted. Now return to Azure City and the Oceanic Museum, the legend exhibit is ready for viewing. On display are statues of Lugia, Ho-oh and Deoxys. The woman present says the real Pokemon live on Navel Island and Birth Island but she doesn't know how anyone can get there. The Gentleman made the statues after seeing the Pokemon, he says we should come to him when we've become the Champion - he has something to give us. I'd actually forgotten about the student who wanted to see the Nymph Badge, go back there and show it off. As a reward we get TM03 (Water Pulse). Turns out that the Gym run by Quinn now used to be the Azure City Gym before it was moved. TM03 was the prize given away at the Gym. Cody is here at the school too to do some learning and he wants to see how much your Pokemon have grown since last time. Show him. >>RIVAL BATTLE<< ================ Rival Cody (Lv12 Doduo, Lv14 Starter) Prize: P224 He tells us that the next Gym is in Scarlet Town, though he doesn't seem to know where that is. Check your Town Map, bro xD. Prep up if you need to and leave town via the eastern exit, onwards to Route 804. 0E ROUTE 804 ------------ Pokemon Found [Levels: 7-10] ............. Hoppip Growlithe Persian (Rare!) Taillow Poochyena Zigzagoon Wingull Electrike Rattata Jigglypuff First Trainer spotted is Hitomi. Picnicker Hitomi (Lv12 Cubone, Lv12 Nidoran[F]) Prize: P240 Check the sign, Route 810 is to the north while Route 805 is to the south. Continue into the grass because there's a tree keeping us from going on east. School Kid Alyssa (Lv14 Skitty) Prize: P336 Past her is James running in a circle. Youngster James (Lv11 Spearow, Lv11 Nidoran[M]) Prize: P176 Let's have a look at Route 810 just to see what's out there then we'll go down to Route 805. 0F ROUTE 810 ------------ Pokemon Found [Levels: 7-10] ............. Pidgey Poochyena Zigzagoon Hoothoot Oddish Caterpie Shroomish Swablu Skitty (Rare?) It's a very short route that leads to an entrance for Windward Forest. How unexpected. Move through the grass all the way to the square patch in the bottom left corner, you'll find 4 Wepear Berries if you search there. All you can do is catch Pokemon or train here because the entrance leads to the side of the forest we can't cross without Surf. Once you're done, return to Route 804 and continue south to find final Trainers Yumi, Sal and David. Battle Girl Yumi (Lv12 Mankey, Lv12 Machop) Prize: P528 Youngster Sal (Lv10 Snubbull, Lv12 Shroomish) Prize: P192 Bug Catcher David (Lv10 Weedle, Lv10 Kakuna, Lv12 Beedrill) Prize: P144 Check the clear patch in the grass for 5 Oran Berries. 0G ROUTE 805 ------------ Pokemon Found [Levels: 8-10] ............. Hoppip Weedle Oddish Pidgey Zigzagoon Caterpie Sunkern Taillow Venonat Hoothoot Ponyta In the grass there's a Net Ball. Carry on down to meet Greg. Hiker Greg (Lv9-10 Geodude x3, Lv12 Nosepass) Prize: P192 Below from him is Cassidy. Aroma Lady Cassidy (Lv11 Bellsprout, Lv12 Chikorita) Prize: P384 The steps lead to a Coastal Cottage where you can rest up before diving into another forest ahead. The Camper by the entrance has some bad news though - we'll need HM Cut in order to fully explore the forest. We'll just explore what we can. 0H SCARLET FOREST ----------------- Pokemon Found [Levels: 10-12] ............. Spinarak Shroomish Hoothoot Wurmple Gastly Seedot Nincada Pineco Slakoth (Rare?) Beautifly (Rare?) This is the northern entrance. Follow the path east then south past the corner area blocked by a tree. In the grass is Rick. Bug Catcher Rick (Lv14 Silcoon, Lv14 Cascoon) Prize: P168 Below from him is a Blackbelt-looking man, he's a Kindler who has an extra HM01 (Cut) to spare. He says that we'll need the Gym Badge from Scarlet Town for it. Continue south and go all the way west to the grass on the left under the fence. Check the top left patch for an Elixir. Don't jump down the ledge, the area below is blocked by a tree. Go round to where Adele is standing. Psychic Adele (Lv12 Meditite, Lv12 Baltoy, Lv13 Gastly) Prize: P240 South from her then east into the grass where there's Sammy and then Jordan. Bug Catcher Sammy (Lv15 Butterfree) Prize: P180 Kindler Jordan (Lv13 Slugma, Lv13 Numel, Lv14 Farfetch'd) Prize: P392 Hiding behind the "tree" is aspiring shinobi Dylan. Ninja Boy Dylan (Lv13 Nincada, Lv13 Koffing) Prize: P156 Carry on east from him, in the grass is a Super Potion. Then go down to the exit where we meet new face Leon, clearly a Bug-type Pokemon enthusiast (kukuku). Is he Rival #2? >>TRAINER BATTLE<< ================== PokeTrainer Leon (Lv14 Trapinch, Lv16 Scyther) Prize: P1280 Yup, we'll be seeing him again sooner or later. 0H ROUTE 806 ------------ Pokemon Found [Levels: 10-15] ............. Poliwag Vulpix Lotad Phanpy Roselia Zigzagoon Slowpoke Swablu Wooper Surf [Levels: 20-30] Psyduck Old Rod [Level: 5] Magikarp Good Rod [Levels: 8-14] Goldeen, Poliwag Super Rod [Levels: 15-24] Poliwag, Poliwhirl, Psyduck, Gyarados Southeast from the entrance is Jimi and moving about in the grass near him is Brett. Youngster Jimi (Lv14 Seedot, Lv14 Sandshrew, Lv15 Sentret) Prize: P240 Bug Maniac Brett (Lv15 Gyarados ?!) Prize: P180 Past him the path turns north where we see a pair of busy Triathletes, Almira and Bjorn. Triathlete Almira (Lv14 Electrike, Lv14 Magnemite, Lv14 Doduo) Prize: P392 Triathlete Bjorn (Lv15 Growlithe, Lv15 Doduo) Prize: P420 Above from him, check the patch in the grass for 2 Sitrus Berries. Then straight north to town. 004 SCARLET TOWN - "The Noble Kiln Community." ================ Places of Interest .................. - PokeCenter - PokeMart - Gym - Name Rater's House - Charcoal Kiln - Fishing Guru's House Pokemon Found ............. Surf [Levels: 20-30] Lotad, Golduck, Psyduck Old Rod [Levels: 6-9] Magikarp Good Rod [Levels: 14-20] Barboach Super Rod [Levels: 13-30] Corphish, Whiscash, Barboach, Gyarados SCARLET TOWN MART ----------------- PokeBall P200 Net Ball P1000 Potion P300 Super Potion P700 Antidote P100 Parlyz Heal P200 Awakening P250 Burn Heal P250 Ice Heal P250 Escape Rope P550 Repel P350 Wood Mail P50 Charcoal P9800 One of the more traditional towns in the region, not bad. The Fishing Guru lives in the first house seen when we arrive, he has an Old Rod to give away. Get ready and then go to the Gym. Cody steps out of it, second Gym Badge acquired. It was a tough fight but he succeeded so he offers us some advice and heads for the PokeCenter. So far he's been one of the better Rivals that I've seen in this vast world of ROMhacks and fanmade games, he's not just in the game to bother us for unnecessary battles whenever we meet haha. Keep it up. SCARLET TOWN GYM ---------------- Leader: Jay - "The Flaming Spirit of Battle!" Some shades of Flannery's Gym to be found in this one, not just the type used. Climb down the ladder to reach the lower level where the first Gym Trainer is located. Camper Davis (Lv17 Numel x2, Lv18 Cyndaquil) Prize: P504 Above from him is a ladder which takes us back to the main area, we'll appear on the left side to face Jacques. Kindler Jacques (Lv16 Slugma, Lv18 Numel) Prize: P504 Next ladder is north from him. Once back underground just follow the path south to the ladder. Back in the main area, right side to meet Roland. Camper Roland (Lv18 Growlithe) Prize: P504 North to the ladder and back underground where Freddy is waiting. He's the last one. Kindler Freddy (Lv18 Magby, Lv20 Slugma) Prize: P560 Head south to the final ladder and we reach Jay. He's a busy man, being a Gym Leader and also a Ranger protecting the nearby forest. How does he fair in battle though? >>GYM BATTLE<< ============== Leader Jay (Lv18 Houndour, Lv20 Quilava, Lv21 Arcanine) Prizes: P2100 + Flare Badge + TM11 (Sunny Day) Use of Cut granted and all your Pokemon will obey up until Level 30. Exit town and return to Scarlet Forest so we can try out the HM. Remember the fence above the Psychic girl? Go back there, cut the tree and you can now reach the Miracle Seed in the grass. Now jump down the ledge below, cut the tree and pick up the Leaf Stone. Then go all the way back to the northern entrance area, cut the tree on the right and look at the ground closely for a dark green little spot above the grass. Search by that spot for 4 Leppa Berries. If you got time make your way back to Azure City to cut the tree there, then you can pick up TM18 (Rain Dance). Race back to Route 806 and we continue our journey. Cut the tree past Bjorn and hold on as Leon appears. He has a favour to ask of us - he lost his important journal somewhere in Scarlet Forest and hopes we can find it. He'll wait for us in the Gate house at the end of this route. Soo...back into the forest we go. Return to where you found the Leppa Berries, this time someone is there - Tundra Grunt! He has found the journal and won't give it up. Team Tundra Grunt (Lv20 Poochyena) Prize: P800 Classic case of beating the bad guys but still being too late to do anything more. He already has the information which is in the book so he leaves it behind. Get the Journal and return to Route 806. Cut the tree, cross the bridge and spoil that conversation going on between Richey and Antonia. Then check that stone near them for Rare Candy. Camper Richey (Lv17 Treecko) Prize: P340 Picnicker Antonia (Lv16 Ledyba, Lv18 Torchic) Prize: P360 Continue into the Gate and there we find Leon. For returning the Journal we'll receive Silverpowder. The journal contains information about Pokemon and areas of this region. Leon has been travelling across the region putting it together, he's also a member of some group we'll find out about sooner or later. After he leaves, step out onto rainy Route 807. 0I ROUTE 807 ------------ Pokemon Found [Levels: 12-16] ............. Continue south to fight Gerald. Black Belt Gerald (Lv17-18 Machop x2, Lv19 Makuhita) Prize: P576 In the grass on the left is a Timer Ball. Move up and cross the bridge, on the other side is Glenn. Bug Maniac Glenn (Lv18 Yanma, Lv18 Venonat, Lv16 Surskit) Prize: P216 Below the steps past him is Calcium. Then carry on east to face Hi Hi Puffy Ami Yumi, xD. Double Battle. So he asks us to deal with Team Tundra in the sewers, he would've gone there but one of the Grunts locked the entrance into the sewers. A key is needed, which we got. Wallace will wait for us at the sewage plant. Outside the Gate is a little bit of Route 812, we'll be back with Surf to fully explore it. Of the 4 little bushes outside the fence, check the 3rd bush from the left for a Super Potion. Move on up to the Sewage Treatment Plant. East from both places is the Lighthouse, with Wallace by the entrance. Being here reminds him of his hometown and after seeing how well we've done so far he decides that we should battle him. As the Champion now, fly back to the Museum in Azure City and speak to the Gentleman in the Legendary exhibition room. He gives us an S.S. Ticket, allowing us to board the S.S. Aurora and travel between Zephyr and some small islands. Fly back to Galena City and flash the Ticket at the Sailor at the Harbor. The 3 destinations available for us are Navel Rock, Birth Island and Faraway Island. Pack up some Ultra Balls, you know what time it is :) 013 NAVEL ROCK ============== Enter the cave and descend a couple of ladders. We'll appear at the south end of a long corridor with a left turn and a right turn. Ignore the turns and go all the way north. On the left is a ladder going up and on the right is a ladder going down. Both ladders lead to a series of other ladders and a legendary. Left ladder -> Ho-oh and right ladder -> Lugia. The Gen 2 legendaries are Level 70. 014 BIRTH ISLAND ================ I'm sure for a lot of you fellow veterans out there this is a familiar place. Above the steps is a curious-looking black triangular object. When approached for the first time it slides to the bottom left. Once it is there, approach it from the right side. It'll zip up top, approach it from the bottom. It zips to the bottom right, its colour has gotten a little lighter now, approach it from the left side. It zips to the top left. Approach from the bottom, it'll zip to the right. Approach from the left, it zips down. Approach from the top, it goes left. Approach from the right, it goes right. Approach from the left, it zips to the bottom. Approach from the top, it moves up (it should be red now). Approach from the bottom, there's a minor quake and the object shatters! Then comes Level 30 Deoxys in its Normal Forme! I'll tell you this much, I've only encountered Deoxys in the ROMhack world, the Pokemon Adventures manga and then officially in Omega Ruby. Never got the Aurora Ticket and travel to Birth Island. Never watched the movie based around Deoxys, it came out many years after I was no longer following the main anime. That's why it's one of those Pokemon I found out about much later, even though Gen 3 is the one I spent more time with (thanks to Ruby version haha). 015 FARAWAY ISLAND ================== There's a very old sign on the southwestern side of the island, makes me wonder who wrote the message. Make your way north until you reach an opening through the trees, it leads to a grassy spot where the little pink wonder Mew can be seen. Level 30. Same deal with Faraway Island, I've never been there nor have I encountered Mew in any of the official games. And so we've reached the end of this game. Sadly there is no post-game story, maybe the original planned version had something. No other legends to be found, none of the Gym Leaders nor the Elite 4 are up for rematches. It didn't feel like you're playing through Kanto with places that have different names. - Simple story, easy to follow. --Negatives-- - The game was left unfinished for quite a while. Although it can be called a complete game now thanks to Hacksrepairman, it feels a bit empty after you get past where the original Beta ends. No more Leon, no more Team Tundra. You're going from place to place catching Pokemon, battling Trainers and collecting Badges until you challenge the League. Loose ends left untied, like what was Leon's special group? What was Team Tundra's mission? Any other Rivals or allies that we were going to meet? - No modern features. It's an old game, so no standard features like reusable TMs, Special/Physical split, the Gen 5 Repel mechanic and so on. For a lot of players that might keep them from giving this game a chance.
