Pokémon Excelsior is a comprehensive revamp of Pokémon Emerald, designed to enhance and expand the gameplay experience without introducing a new storyline or additional text. The primary goal of this hack is to make all available Pokémon from Generation 3 viable for gameplay, by tweaking their typing and stats to improve their effectiveness and balance.

Gyarados has been changed to Water/Dragon
Charizard is now a Fire/Dragon
Pinsir is Bug/Dark
Pidgeot is pure Flying etc...

- Revamped Typing and Stats: Many Pokémon have had their typing and base stats adjusted to make them more viable in battles. For example, Gyarados has been retyped to Water/Dragon, Charizard is now Fire/Dragon, Pinsir has become Bug/Dark, and Pidgeot is a pure Flying type. These changes aim to provide a fresh take on familiar Pokémon and enhance their usability in various battle situations.
- No New Storyline or Text: The hack focuses on gameplay improvements and does not introduce any new storyline elements or additional text. This ensures that the core narrative and dialogues of the original Emerald game remain unchanged.
- Revised Starters: The starter Pokémon in Pokémon Excelsior are Numel, Cacnea, and Wailmer, replacing the original starters. This change offers new early-game options for players and adds variety to the beginning of their journey.
- Enhanced Base Stats for Certain Pokémon: Key Pokémon, such as Camerupt, Cacturne, and Wailord, have been given base stat totals (BST) of 540. This adjustment enhances their overall performance and competitiveness in battles.
- Flexibility in Team Building: The modifications allow players to use their favorite Pokémon without having to compromise on their effectiveness. This feature ensures that a wider range of Pokémon can be successfully utilized in gameplay, accommodating personal preferences and playstyles.
