Story

Play as a regular teen living a normal life till one day you decide to venture off into a forest upon doing so you fall into a world of dreams with Pokemon and Friends however, things begin to escalate more as the days go by as your mental condition worsens you are forced to seek a way out of the Dream World.

Pokemon aren't catchable instead progressing through the story you will gain more Pokemon this is implemented to have character development for the Pokemon.
Gyms are replaced with award winners they don't focus on specific types just their favorite Pokemon.
